Sterling Power Pro Alt C 12v 130A AB12130 Alternator to Battery Charger. Boosts charging capacity from the alternator using a 4 stage charging cycle. Good piece of kit and popular with people who use them. Starter battery is charged as a priority and once the Pro Alt C detects it is full it initiates the charging process for the leisure bank.
Using the charging software it gives the leisure batteries a proper charge which the alternator alone cannot. Can be set up and optimised for nearly all battery types. Although second hand, this one has never actually been installed due to circumstances changing. Has been kept in the box and is in very good condition. Easy to install and wire in, simply replace the split charge relay between the alternator and the batteries.All the wires you need will already be there. One from the alternator, and one each to the starter and leisure batteries.
If in doubt get a pro, it will be a very quick job for them. Not suitable for modern road vehicles due to the different kind of alternators used but may be compatible with older, simpler camper van engines. Consult an electrician or call the man himself at Sterling Power.
